I just read on the bleeping computer site that you now have to manually do updates for Windows 7 so it doesn't really make sense to me to install 7 now. I read on Laptop that it is the biggest bang for the buck under 0.00. ...should I install KB890830 now or wait until 3-14-17. Shorten the name of your file or the name of subfolders in One Drive, or select a subfolder that's closer to the top-level folder.

This morning I had a user having issues with there recent documents not showing in Start Menu.

To resolve and fix the issue, follow these steps: 1) Browse to the location: the folder ‘Automatic Destinations’ is hidden, so coping and pasting it into your search bar should take you there. [I didn’t risk it, so I deleted everything inside the folder] If you cannot find any file sized 1MB or more then delete all the files.

This will eventually remove the Jump Lists’ recent items for all the applications.

In Windows Server 2003 and earlier, a folder like the "Start Menu" had a different name on non-English versions of Windows.

For example, on German versions of Windows XP it is "Startmenü".I did some digging around and it seems the recent documents creates a cache storage location within “Automatic Destinations” folder.Believe it or not, these files can be corrupted at times. And I guess as the support is ending, this year I will get a new laptop, although I'm quite hesitant since this one still works fine to me.Look at the taskbar on your computer, and hover over the One Drive cloud icon that isn't syncing. You might need to select the Show hidden icons arrow ( or ) next to the notification area to see the One Drive icon.Note: If you’re signed into Windows with the Microsoft account you use for One Drive and you still don’t see your files, your organization may have a corporate firewall or Group Policy that blocks One Drive.
